As I was saying hi to her Addie asked her, "Do you have babies?" (meaning do you have kids?) To which the some what larger lady replied, "No, I'm just really fat!" Obviously she thought Addie was asking her if she was pregnant. I immediatley felt so emabarrassed! I just sat there mortified by Addie and by the lady's comment. Addie on the other hand, looked at her confused by the answer and said to her, "Well, do you have brothers and sisters?" I then felt the need to explain to the woman Addie's previous question but you could tell that she totally didn't believe me and she very quickly made her exit out of the restaurant. My husband and I sat there just staring at eachother for a while and then finally he says, "AWKWARD!" We both just started busting up because that was the most awkward experience of my life!! Kids are embarrassing but they sure do make life fun!

THREE

My baby is growing up! And too fast might I add. I swear that just yesterday day she was my little rollie pollie toddler and now she is a little girl! Yesterday was Addie's third birthday and oh my was this a long day coming in her eyes. We only talked about her birthday every single day for the past three months! To celebrate her birthday we had a little carnival birthday party (pictures to come later). Once again, I got one of my grand ideas and the party turned into a living breathing monster. Tom says that if I ever want to do anything like this again I can feel free to do it but to leave him out of it! No seriously, that is almost exactly what he said. But despite the fact that I ended up spending way more on the party than if I would have given Addie every toy she said she wanted for her birthday, it was a huge hit and everybody had fun!

So much has happened in the last little bit with my sweet Addie bug. To name a few, she started dance at Dance Illusion, and she goes to preschool once a week at a place called Miss Rosemary's. Addie loves both so much! She talks about her teachers all the time until she gets to see them again. It is so cute! So the whole preschool thing was a big debate because we didn't want to start her too early but we also wanted to start her now in case she could start elementary school a year earlier. Anyway, this preschool she goes to is more of a social experience and plus it is only one day a week so she won't get burnt out. She also gets to go with her cousin Libby that she loves, and it gives me and her a little break! So I would say we made the right choice.

Addie on the first day of preschool.

First day of dance!

I just want to take a moment to say that I love Addie so much! She has truly changed my life with her presence. She is so sweet, caring, tenderhearted, inquisitive, silly and smart! I just don't know what I would do with out her. She is such a good big sis and always wants Berlin with her. I can't believe three years has already gone by. It has been so fun so far to watch her grow up! Every stage in her life is a new adventure for us! She is my best buddy! I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I DO! It was such a fun and special day. I got the grand idea that I would make all the food for our family party by myself. Usually when I get an idea like this in my head, it ends up in disaster but this time everything worked out great! I spent all of saturday preparing yummy yummy Costa Vida style mexican food and rootbeer float cupcakes that would later be devoured by our loving family! On Sunday, we were blessed to have all of our family, including Tom's sister Melisa and her family come from Victor, Idaho to support us as we blessed Berlin. I was so excited that they came I was all teary even before Sacrament Meeting started. The only ones not there were my sister and her husband who live in Texas, but we sure missed them!Tom gave Berlin an amazing and beautiful blessing! I am so grateful for his worthiness to hold the Priesthood, that he could be inspired to bless her with such amazing things!

It's funny how worried I was about every detail about what Berlin was wearing, and that she look perfect for her blessing because then the blessing was over in a matter of minutes. And I am the only one that probably noticed or cared about her little bracelet or the fact that she was wearing ruffled tights instead of ruffled socks. But oh well, I am just an OCD mom and everything turned out perfect anyway.

Doesn't she look so gorgeous in her little dress!

She has the cutest chuby cheeked smile! This isn't even the biggest smile she'll give ya. She is such a happy mellow little baby. I just love having her around. And she has the cutest little laugh she does when she is super excited!

I took Berlin to the doctor yesterday for her 2 month visit. I was pleasantly surprised, I thought she would weigh upwards of 12 pounds because she has been getting chunky really fast but she weighed 10lb 13oz and is 22 in long. Not bad! Addie weighed 10lb and oz at Berlin's age so she's not that chubby. But I love that she has cute rolls and big cheekies to smooch on all day long! The poor thing had to get 3 shots so the whole time she was awake yesterday, she would just cry and cry. I felt so bad for her. She is just a treat to be around, and Addie still loves her just as much as ever! Poor little Addie Bug did have a rough go for a while, I think she thought I had replaced her, but she is doing lots better now. I try to spend some time with just her everyday and we do mommy daughter dates every week. And PS she is being potty trained! WOOHOO! I plan on doing a post on just Addie Bug because she has been growing up and learning lots of new things! Well that's all so stay tuned til next time folks!

One Month

Just a few facts about my little Berlin. She still likes to sleep alot in the day and not very much at night. She also has the cutest double chin I've ever seen. She loves the bouncer but would much rather cuddle the day away. She puts up with her sister constantly bugging her and yelling her face. She is a very aware baby as well. I love her so much. It's fun but a little hard with two munchkins now, but mainly only from my lack of sleep. Here are some lovely pictures of Berlin from her one month photoshoot. She was not cooperating like we would have liked so we didn't get very many.

2 Weeks

I can't believe Berlin is already 2 weeks old! Boy how time flies! I was so nervous about taking her to her 2 week well baby visit today because I had to take her and Addie all by myself. But I did it! And Addie was a good girl the whole time! I was so happy that I got Addie an ice cream cone on the way home. I am always worried about how well and how long Berlin eats but I have nothing to worry about. Why? Because she gained 13 oz in 10 days! She went from 6lb 3 oz at her follow up visit to 7lb 0oz today! I think I might be feeding her pure fat! She is now 19 1/4 in long as well. I am just so in love with my little girls! Addie is still being a little momma to Berlin, and for the most part it is still cute but sometimes she tries to help too much.

You can kind of see her blonde highlights!

My photography skills are so not up to par. I would like to intoduce to you all Berlin Ann Davis. Born April 13, 2010 at 4:07 pm she weighed in at 6lb 6oz and 19 in long! And boy is she a cutie! We are all absolutely in love with her! Addie is already such a good big sister to her. I was so worried about how Addie would react but so far I have had nothing to worry about. The first thing she said when she saw her was "My baby!" and she nearly lept out of my mom's arms to try to get to her. So here are some photos of Berlin's entrance into this world.

This is right afte she was born. I know not the prettiest picture of either of us, but it was one of the most wonderful moments of my life.

Getting cleaned off.

She had a rough little bit at the first and needed oxygen, so this is when she finally was settled down.

You can't tell very well, but she has three blonde spots in her hair. I have finally hit my last month! I am 36.3 weeks along now. Boy am I excited! It's funny, I went to the doctor today and he said he couldn't believe I was already this far along, he felt like I just got pregnant and I should have so much longer to go. The whole time I was thinking to myself what a long pregnancy this has been. Don't get me wrong I love being pregnant and I am so excited to bring another child into this world, but there is only so much room in this 4 foot 11 inch frame I have. Let's just say I have been a little squished as of late.

When I am pregnant I get hyperthyroidism which is totally weird because it goes away after I have the baby and my thyroid is totally normal otherwise. But because I get this only when I'm pregnant, I get monitored a lot more than somone else who just is normal during pregnancy. It sucks because I have to get my labs checked a lot to make sure my medicine is working but the fun part is, I get to see my baby a lot!

I feel like I have gotten to know my little munchkin a lot since I get to see her progress. She definitely is different from Addie! Addie was always showing off every time I got an ultrasound. She would happily show you she was a girl, suck her thumb, kick, and move a lot. Berlin on the other hand, is shy as shy can be. She always covers her little face and always has her little legs crossed. She only likes to move when nobody is around, so I get annoyed sometimes because she will kick me to death but as soon as Tom tries to feel her she stops!

This picture is one I got today at my ultrasound. It is by far one of the best of her face we have been able to see, even though she is still totally covering it with her hand. Little Stinker! Do you spy the extremely chubby cheek going on in this picture? I am a little worried she might be a really big girl! But I guess that just means I have fed her well in my tummy! ;)

I also had the pleasure of finding out that I am already dialated to a 2, and that my doctor is going to induce me! He said we will make a plan when I see him on the 12th of April, as long as I don't deliver before then. I really hope I don't deliver befor then anyway because he is going out of town and I don't want another doctor delivering me! Plus it doesn't help that Tom is having surgery this week and so he wouldn't be too much help in the delivery room. So everyone pray that Berlin stays fat and happy in my belly until April 12th. Then she can feel free to come!

DISNEYLAND 2010

A couple of weeks ago, we had the opportunity to go to Disneyland with Tom's whole family. There were 25 of us total, well 26 if you include the babe in my belly. We had so much fun! We also got to fly there for free thanks to Tom's internship. So here are a few pics from the trip. Sorry there aren't more but we kept forgeting to take pictures, we were just too busy having fun!

This Addie posing at the entrance of Disneyland! She kept yelling for Mickey and Minnie everywhere we went. She was so excited to be there!

Surprisingly, Addie loved driving the cars in Autopia!

Waiting in line for the Tea Cups! Addie loved this ride!! She would yell and scream and giggle until she got dizzy. Then she would put her hands up and say "Stop! Stop! Stop!" It was so funny!

Most of the neices and nephews posing on Dumbo after the ride! We sure do have a lot of cuties in our family!

Addie met Mickey Mouse!! She would act scared whenever she met any character but after would keep yelling their names and looking for them.

I think meeting Minnie was better than meeting Mickey. Addie even blew her a kiss or two and gave her big hugs!

We had such a fun trip with Tom's family. All the kids were really cute to eachother, and good old Davis was such a sport. I think addie would have smothered him to death with all the loves she always had to give him.

After four days in Disneyland, we went to San Diego for a day to meet up with some old dear friends of ours! It was so much fun, and they have the cutest munchkins! We are sad because they are moving in Japan for three years and we will miss them dearly.

If Disney and San Diego wasn't enough, Tommy convinced me that we should go visit his uncle's sail boat and go sailing with him. Sailing wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite. I probably would have liked it better if I wasn't hugely pregnant and didn't have scared teary two year old clinging to me for dear life. But at least Tom had a blast. He actually got to sail most of the time, which convinced him that now he needs a sail boat one day!

By the end of the trip we were ready to go home, but not without one more little adventure. We were sure we could get on our flight home since there were 79 open seats and we were on stand by. Well, it turns out there were also 76 other people on stand by with us and we were the second to last passengers to get cleared right before take off. I'm just glad we made it! I would not have wanted to wait the long hours in the airport for the next flight!

Changes, Changes, Changes

I said I was going to be better at blogging and I totally have not followed through with that promise. But I have a few good excuses. We have had a lot of changes going on in our house. Probably one of the most excited is that Tom got an internship with SkyWest. So let me tell you how this all came to be. One day Tom comes home from flying with his instructor and says: "I hear SkyWest hasn't filled their intership for this semester, I think I'm going to apply." I say "Ok, sounds good to me." Then over then next week he received two phone calls where he was interviewed for two different internships. They told him they would let him know around New Years. So out of the blue on a Sunday, Tom gets this email saying he got an internship with them and he needs to go to training in a week. We were totally stoked, but yet confused because they didn't tell him what intership it was. So the next day he gets another email saying he needs to come interview for an internship that week.

So, to make a long story short, (notice I am skipping the part where I got really mad and cried for hours because I thought he got the internship that I didn't want him to get) Tom goes down to Salt Lake for this interview and they asked him if he applied for more than one internship with the company. He said yes and they said Oh never mind we don't need to interview you then because you already got the Flight Ops internship! How crazy is that! It happened to be the internship that we wanted him to get because it worked with our schedules better and he would get more experience in the flight area than adminstration. Anywho, we get flight benefits til May which is great, and we have many plans to travel til my pregoness won't let me anymore.

Tom has already had so much fun with this internship! Just last week he got to Montreal to pick up a RJ700! How cool is that!! I would dish all the details of his trip but that would take like a day and a half!
We had been saying we wanted to move Addie into a big girl bed before Christmas. Then one night a couple weeks before Christmas, Addie decided herself she was ready for a bed by using her crib as a jungle gym! She has transitioned really well and only got out a couple times the first night! She is actually a lot more willing to go to bed at night now that she is in her own bed.

Last but not least, has been my growing belly. I am now 27 1/2 weeks pregnant! Just so you all know, I will never post a picture of my huge fatness. I can't bear to have any pictorial evidence of how large and whalish I become during pregnancy. I honostly believe my mom when she told me that every pregnancy is different. Although I am having another girl, this pregnancy is so much different than Addie. I was so mellow and happy and comfortable when I was prego with Addie. This time around I am much more needy, whiny, and uncomfortable. I feel like my husband thinks I am the craziest, most hormonal pregnant lady on earth. But he sure treats great none the less. But I just can't wait til April when this cute girl will come home to us! I am super excited by the way, because next week we get to have an ultrasound and see our cute baby's face again! YAY!

Big News!

Well everybody, the wait is finally over! Today we had our big ultrasound! It already feels like I have been pregnant forever, and I am just barely half way done now. This baby has a totally different personality than Addie, that's for sure. The tech had a really hard time getting a good look at the face and finding out the sex. He had to keep poking and proding the baby to get it to move and then finally it did! I know the suspense is killing you all by now, so should I just tell you what it is already? Ok here goes...

IT"S A GIRL!!

We are so excited! We would have been happy with a boy too. I had so much anxiety built up because I just couldn't tell what it would be. When I was pregnant with Addie I knew the whole time she would be a girl, I just had the strongest feeling about it. But this time around I felt really confused. I am just glad I finally know! Plus the tech said that she looks great and has a;; her fingers and toes and is perfect. He estimates her wieght to be about 10 oz right now. Isn't that tiny?

We bought Addie a pink baby that came with a little crib. She didn't really care that we were telling her she would have a baby sister, she just cared that she got a new baby toy to play with! Addie is going to be such a good big sister! Now she can pass all her girly wisdom on to her baby sister! Now that hard part is waiting the long time to get this cute girl here! And at least we don't have to fight about names! We were lucky enough with Addie that we both liked her name and the same for our little Berlin that is on her way. Boys names are a whole other story!

Well, that's all for now folks! I'll post pictures later, the news was just to exciting to hold back!

Its Been A Long Time

So, its been a really long time since I have posted anything. We have had a few things going on during my absence from the blogging world. First off, Miss Addie turned 2! She had so much fun at both her parties. Yeah she spoiled because she got two parties. Sadly, I have no pictures to show of that since our camera died at her first party, and then I forgot to charge it before the second party. I still need to get all the pics from family members.

Second and the main reason I have not been blogging is because I am prego! We are so excited to welcome another baby into our home in April. But this baby has already been giving me a run for my money. I have been worshipping the porcelain god a lot the last couple months (if you know what I mean). But things have been a lot better the last couple weeks so I thought everyone should know I am still alive and we are all well.

Third, we celebrated halloween! I went all out this year by making mine and Tommy's costumes. We went as Tinkerbell, Hook, and Wendy. Addie loved dressing up as Tinkerbell, the only problem was she did not like wearing her wings. We took her trick or treating to my parents, my aunt, grandma and grandpa Swedberg, and then to Tommy's parents. She also got invited to her cousin's halloween party which she loved! We stopped by a truck or treat before the party and the whole time she kept saying: "Linky, Linky! A hand!" and then her cousin Lincoln would hold her hand. The bad part is that he was dressed as Buzz Light Year and there were a few other Buzzes so she would go up to them and try to hold their hand. We ended the night with The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, which has been a tradition ever since we got married. All in all it was a great night!

So I promise to be better about blogging now that I am feeling better!

"Winnie Dog Out!"

Every day, Addie runs to the door with Winnie's leash and yells: "Winnie dog out!" So I help her take the dog out and she always ends up letting go of the leash to go search for rocks and dirt. These pictures are from sunday when she had just woken up from a nap and I hadn't gotten her dressed yet. She wanted to let the dog out so bad but I told she had to wear her raincoat since it was raining and she didn't mind at all as long as winnie went out. She is so funny that little munchkin!

Anniversary, Birthday, and a Shiner

We've been a little busy lately, so that is why I haven't posted in forever. August is one of my favorite months because I get to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary right in row!

First came our annivesary on August 4th. We have been married for 5 years now!!! Can you believe it? What can I say about being married to my best friend for this long? I just love Tom so much! We have so much fun together, and we always have adventures whenenver we do something. He is such a good dad! Addie absolutely adores him and he adores her! I love to watch them together. He brings out the best in me and he makes me want to become a better person because he is so great! He teaches me something new every single day. He is the hardest working guy I have ever met. He has made so many sacrifices for our family and wants to set a good example for Addie and our future kids. The list goes on and on of all the things I could say about Tom. The most important one to me is that he loves me and I love him and we get to spend our lives together forever! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BABE!!!
This is the picture from our wedding announcement. Sorry it is so grainy. And I know what you are all thinking; WOW I actually used to be kind of thin! HA HA

The day after our anniversary was my birthday! I turned the big 25! Man I feel old now. We had so much fun on my birthday. We had gone up to Bear Lake for the week to celebrate and so on my birthday we played all day on the beach and then went to Bear Lake pizza for dinner. PS I will never eat there again because there was some bad chicken on my pizza and I felt sick all night long! But other than that is was a great day!

Addie got a shiner this past weekend. How sad is that? She was running all around her room and she ran into the computer chair. We didn't notice it until we were at the fair saturday night. I took this picture this morning of it. It looks a lot better than it did but I still feel so bad for her. She looks so sad in this picture too.

Baby Shower Gift

I went to a baby shower this week for one of the MANY prego girls at work. For the occasion I decided to make a onesie dress (mine is actually a onesie with a skirt) and burp clothes. I am really happy with how they turned out so here are the pictures.

I have been sewing a lot lately and it has gotten me thinking. I have been considering starting a sewing blog about my many adventures, especially since this blog is supposed to be about my cute family. I would probably also put some tutorials on there every now and then. I also plan on venturing into the world of sewing boy stuff too! So let me know your opinion of the idea, and be on the look out soon to see my new blog (If I am brave enough to start a new blog that is).

Rockin Some Shades

I love Addie! I have to say it was one of my favorite trips we have ever been on. It wasn't one of those trips where you go and go and go and come back to your hotel exhausted. We did a ton of stuff but we did it at a leisurely pace. Here is a quick run down of our trip:

On our way to Portland we stopped at Multnomah and Horse Tail Falls. Our first day we went to the Children's Museum, which Tommy and Addie loved! We also went to the International Rose Test Garden and then finished the day in downtown Portland. We went to one of my favorite stores, Finnegan's Toy Store, and we searched for a fabric store that we had been to before but it no longer exists. We also strolled the streets of the Nobhill and Pearl districts. Our second day we went to the Evergreen Aviation and Aerospace Museum to see the Spruce Goose then we drove to Vancouver, WA to have lunch with our friends Cody and Tenille (stupid me didn't even take a pic). Then Tommy let me spend all the time I wanted in The Fabric Depot, which a huge fabric store. The night we had dinner with our other friends Tom and Rosie at a really cute and romantic italian resturaunt. Oour third day we drove to the coast and explored Oceanside and Cannon Beach and ate at the is little place called the Big Wave Which had really yummy food. On our way home, Tommy stopped at Hilsboro Aviation to talk to them about getting a job. Our last day, we thought we would relax so we went to an awesone greek place for lunch, got yummy VooDoo doughnuts, took a nap, and swam in the pool. For our last dinner we went to a district called Resturaunt Row where we had the best gourmet pizza ever at Ken's Artisan Pizza! On our way home from Portland, we stopped at another museum dedicated to vintage airplanes and cars and they all still run! but yesterday we did. Tom had seen this really cute Power Wheels VW Bug around Christmas time for Addie but I said no. Well, it was on sale again this week and I called Tom to tease him about it, and the next thing I know I am trying to jimmy rig it into the car to get it home. I must say that I am extremely excited that we bought it because Addie loves it! We can't get her out of it. She isn't very good at driving it yet and it kind of freaks her out when she makes it go. But other than that she loves it. She likes to take our car keys and try to put them in it and she loves steering it. We didn't put all the stickers on it that came with it because they are Barbie. But we hope to find some cute Minnie Mouse stickers that will match it. She is getting better and better at speaking and it makes me so happy! Tonight as I put her to bed I read her a book that had animals in it and I totally bribed her to say the noises for me. It was so easy too. All I did was tell her she could have her binky once she said them all. I know I am a horrible mom, I swear I won't ever do it again! But she was so cute saying them all!

Here are some of the animal noises she knows:
Bear, Lion, and Dinosaur all say roar but a Tiger says Grrr. She also knows dog, duck, cat, lamb, cow,and frog. The Frog is the cutest because she says "Rob! Rob!" I know she knows other ones but those are the ones I was having her say tonight.

Some other fun things she really likes to say right now are: "Let's go!" and "Here you go." And now she says please and thank you while she signs them, instead of just the sign.

I also have been working on teaching her numbers and the parts of her body. She can kind of hold up her fingers for numbers 1-5 and her favorite part is to give a high five when you get to that number. She also knows all the parts of her face and her hands, feet, toes, and of course belly button!

She is at such a fun age right now! She is getting girlier and girlier by the day. Her new favorite thing to do every day is scream and squeal and run around the house when dad gets home. It makes Tommy's day when she does it. I just love my little girl!

PS Sorry that turned out to be longer than a tid bit. I just get so excited when Addie learns new things.

Long Time No Post

I would like to apologize for not posting for quite a while. We have been quite busy the last couple of weeks. There have been a lot of good and bad things that have happened lately. So here is a list of some of the stuff we've done.

1. Got some bad news (my turn)
2. Had surgery
3. Got more bad news (tommy's turn)
4. Sewed a dress for my neice and a cape for my nephew
5. Went to the Air Show
6. Sewed curtains for Addie's room
7. Saw Up in 3D
8. Sold our car

So you see there have been more good things than bad, but still not the funnest time in my life. Sorry this hasn't been the happiest post I've ever done. I've been a bit of a negative nelly lately. Here is picture of Addie to cheer me up. She fell asleep in the car on the way home from the Air Show.

What The?

I had just bathed Addie and went to put something away. She is the sweetest little girly girl I have ever seen! She loves to play with dolls, purses, and pretty jewelry. She also loves to give everyone hugs and kisses. PS I get teary everytime I see this first picture of her.

My Latest Creations

A couple of weeks ago I posted a picture of Addie's easter dress that I made and I have been making her dresses and skirts ever since. So I thought you all might like to see my latest creations I made for her. I am making a matching shirt for each of the skirts, I just am practicing my machine applique skills first. Oh and I made her dress that she is wearing in our family pictures. I am still not very good, but I least have a lot of fun making them. It is oddly theraputic.

Family Picture Sneek Peek

What do you think of the new look of our blog? I just so happened to find this background that matches Addie's dress exactly, so I couldn't resist putting it up on our blog. I LOVE our pictures!! Melissa said that I could copy and paste them from her website until we got our pictures back so I took full advantage. These are just a few of what is to come when she is all done editing everything and we get the CD. I am so excited to plaster these pictures all over our house!

Family Pics Today

This is just a quick post because I am so excited. We got our family pictures taken today which is a first since Tommy and I got engaged. Addie was naughty in my opinion but overall I think it went really well. The girl who took our pictures was so patient and so nice! I am just so excited to get our pictures back from her. She did such a good job and we had a lot of fun! I have to recommend her to everyone so here is a link to her photo blog. Her name is Melissa Martinson and her photo business is called Simply Be Photography. Take a peek at her work, she is really good!

http://simplybephoto.com/wordpress/

Baby Animal Day and Easter

On Friday we went to Baby Animal Day with my parents and one of my brothers and his family. Last week I was blog hopping and I happened upon a children's boutique that had some really cute dresses. The dresses were $25-$30! I thought to myself when I saw them that I could totally make one for Addie myself. And so I talked to my hubby about it and the next day I bought fabric and made the dress while Addie was down for her nap! I am not saying I am the best seamstress in the world, but I think it turned out pretty darn cute especially since I didn't use a pattern. I also made myself a skirt out of the same flower fabric (I know it is cheesy and matchy matchy but I guess that is what kind of mom I am). So I hope maybe this helps some of you want to get crafty as well. Oh and if any of you mommies want me to make one for your little princess let me know I would give you a good deal.

Once More For Old Times Sake

So, last friday Tommy got to put the Big Blue suit one more time. The reigning Big Blue was out of town at the WAC Tournament and so Linda Zimmerman (the cheer coach) asked Tommy if he would like to be Big Blue at a gymnastics meet. Addie and I went to cheer on our cute man and enjoy USU crush the BYU gymnastics team. Everytime I have ever watched Tommy be Big Blue I get all teary eyed. I know that seems completely lame but I am so proud of him and he gets so excited to put that costume on and make people happy. He did so good! He even did a little dance to "Move It, Move It" from Madagascar. At the end of the meet when he changed clothes he was so sweaty and said that he is getting fat and old. Tommy is not fat nor old but I know how hard it would be to be in that suit when you haven't done it in almost a year. Anyway I am just so happy he got the opportunity it do it one more time. And by the way good job Aggies at the WAC, and good luck tomorrow night up in Boise!

Piggy Tails and Curly Q's

Can you believe it? Addie finally has enough hair to do something with it. One of my biggest fears of having a girl has always been doing her hair. But so far I haven't had to really worry about it since Addie has had such short hair. Now that she is getting more hair it is fun to experiment with different styles and it is easier than I thought to do cute things with her hair. Here are some pictures of my cute curly q baby and some of her in piggy tails!

P.S. I cannot believe I have a child with naturally curly hair. Thank you Tommy for passing on those genes to her because they definetely don't come from me! And do you guys see the hint of red in her hair?! Addie of course was the life of the party. At first she was a good girl while she ate her spaghetti but then she started throwing it every where. And of course my family egged her on by laughing at her. By the time we got done with dinner and all cleaned up she was naked (she still had her diaper on) and running all over the house!

My cute family posing with all the delicious food!

Addie eating her spaghetti.

Addie laughing because everyone else was laughing at her.

Addie clapping because everyone else was cheering her on.

At Least She's Comfortable

This is not the first time this has happened and I don't think this will be the last. Our Christmas present to eachother were tickets to Brian Regan. We have been excited for months about this show and last night was finally the night. He was just as funny as the first time we saw him at Kingsbury Hall 2 years a ago. Surprisingly, a lot of his jokes were new. He joked about the economy, taxes, global warming; all the issues that are so heated and need to be lightened up on. He also threw in a lot of his classic stuff that I have heard many a time before. I can honestly say I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. Even when he messed up a joke he turned it into another joke. It was an awesome night! He even came out and did an encore. This is where my favorite part comes in! He told the story of when he took himself to the ER and it was hysterical! The end of the joke is him leaving the ER yelling: "Say 8! Say 8! Have you had your 8 today?" So all of you who have not heard Brian Regan need to look him up on YouTube and listen to him. He is the funniest and one of the cleanest comedians I have ever heard. Tommy and I had a wonderful time and I even convinced my party pooper husband to take out for ice cream afterwards.

Photography Give Away!

I saw on my friends blog a link to this awesome photographer who is doing a killer giveaway. Everday we have to catch her at the bottom about a million times before she is content. At first she had a hard time climbing to the top because the steps are more like rock climbing foot holds but she eventually got it. I didn't know she was even brave enough to climb up and slide down by herself until one day I was unloading the dishwasher and I turned to put something away. Through the doorway of the kitchen Icould see these little hands and feet flying in the air and she landed on all fours. It was the cutest and funniest thing I had ever seen. Addie is so much fun! But in the past two weeks, we have had a lot of changes. Anyone who knows Tom, knows that he works like crazy and always has multiple jobs. This has always been hard on me and Addie because we don't get to see our beloved daddy very often. But thanks to a new job we get to see Tom a little bit more often.
In the past, Tom has worked at UPS, the Temple, and coached cheer and he literally worked 7 days a week. But now he just works at UPS and at my dad's office and his office manager. Tom now gets friday, saturday, and sunday off!! The only bad thing is that he still has to work at 4 am so he has 13 hour days 4 days a week. I didn't realize how bad that sounded until I wrote it. You all probably think I am a lazy but who doesn't do anything but I swear I do! I work twice a week and chase our monkey around every other day. But this new job situation really works out better for us and plus I forgot to mention he gets a 2 hour lunch break! So hopefully with these free weekends he can get his flying done and get a real flight job! Yay! There really is a light at the end of the tunnel!
Some other fun updates are that we are definitley putting our condo up for sale. So if any of you want to buy one let me know! We also are considering building a house but who knows how that will pan out. Oh! One last fun tidbit. Addie can now say turtle! How fun is that?!

Adventure Awaits at Ikea

We got a check in the mail yesterday from canceling our auto insurance so we decided to use to buy some much needed storage for Addie's room. So off we headed to Ikea. In the car Tommy and I played "Name that Band" which is where I put in a CD and he tries to guess who it is. It was fun because some of the CD's we haven't listened to in years so it brought back lots of fun memories. It was kind of a silly game because I totally could control how many points Tommy got depending on how hard of a CD I picked. Plus I am way better at the game because I know way more bands than he does. We also listened to one of my favorite CD's in the whole world; Roy D. Mercer. It is this radio guy who prank calls people on behalf of their friends. He gets them all riled up and then tells them the jokes on the them. It is hysterical!

Like I said before, Addie's room was in much need of storage due to the fact that she got a million toys for Christmas. But did we buy the needed storage while we were at Ikea? Of course not! Instead we bought her a cute little table and matching stairs, a high chair (which we needed), some storage for our kitchen, a play purse for her and some finger puppets. None of these were things we went to Ikea for but they ended up being out of stock of the thing we went for anyway so oh well.

But our adventure did not end at Ikea. In fact it had just begun. We went to some burger joint which will remain nameless (because I never want to think of it again) for a bite to eat. We were just digging in to our food and I opened some fruit snacks to feed Addie. I think she was to busy bouncing on the seat and squealing with joy to remember to chew. So what happened? she choked of course. And what always follows when Addie chokes on a fruit snack? She barfed! Not only did she barf out the one stupid fruit snack but she then has to make a specticle and barf out the entire contents of her stomach all over my tray of food and right in front of her dad (who has the weakest stomach ever). So there I am frantically wiping of baby barf and Tommy is sitting there ghost white like he is going to lose too. And all he can say is "Take her to the bathroom! Take her to the bathroom!"

I eventually got Addie as cleaned up as I could in the bathroom, and Tommy threw away my half eaten meal. He said that while he was cleaning up my tray he almost lost because he caught a whiff of the puke. Poor guy I don't know who I was more worried about Addie who seemed to enjoy the whole thing or Tommy who I thought would either pass out or barf all over me. As you can probably guess we made a quick exit from the place and headed to Kohls so I could buy Addie something to where on the way home.

Luckily, the trip home was pretty mellow and easy, except for when I thought I was going to pee my pants and we had to stop at the Wellcome Mart in Wellsville. I always say to Tommy when something unexpected happens: "What would life be without an adventure?" And today sure turned out to be just that.

Happy New Year!!

Happy 2009 everyone! Isn't it amazing how fast time just seems to zoom by?! Last night we had a New Year's Eve party at my parent's house will all my sibs! It was so much fun! We had yummy food, did a gift exchange, and played fun games! If any of you have not played "Boxers or Briefs" you need to go buy it! It is tons of fun especially with friends and family that you know really well.

The kids all chilled and watched a movie while we played a game.

Addie wanted to cuddle all her cousins. But we were able to enjoy our short holiday filled with love laughter and lots of toys for Addie Belle. She was so spoiled for christmas! Her grandparents sure do love her! Of course some of the toys she got had to be airplanes because of her daddy. But her very favorite toy of the year was her baby doll that cost $1.oo! She was so excited when she opened it that she squealed and loved it and kissed it all over.

Christmas night we went to Tommy's parent's house for dinner and the newly integrated Davis Family Variety Show. But before we could get to the party Tommy and I had our annual arguement about whether we wear our PJ's or if we dress up and as usual I win and we get dressed because when we get there everyone else is dressed just like they are every year.

The variety show was so cute! Melisa and Mike and their kids sang The 12 Days of Christmas just so Piper could sing the part "11 Pipers piping!" Plus Ally and Aubree and Ryan sang "Do you Hear What I Hear" and man do they have pretty voices. I was in tears I was so touched by thier song. And what would Christmas be without the Nativity scene. Jenny bought all the costumes and all the kids endured the story while their parents shouted directions to all of them.

This year was so much fun and Tommy and I didn't notice that we didn't spoil each other with a bunch of stuff. I think it was more fun and memorable that way. I am so grateful for everyone in my family and their generosity to Tommy, Addie Belle and I. Thank you all so much! Love You! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!!

Happy Holidays!

This year christmas is going to be very small for our little family. I have been thinking and worrying a lot about money this year. We don't have a lot and I think that is why I am so worried about it. Even though my daughter is tiny and doesn't care or understand anything about how much toys cost I still feel bad that I can't give her all the things that other more well established families can. It reminds of something my very wise father in law told me and my husband. He said that our generation doesn't have the patience that past generations have had because we see what our parents spent a lifetime trying to get to and think that they we should ahve what they have now. Isn't true though? It is hard to go from the comfort of your parents home with no bills and then have to struggle and grow up and be patient. Our prophet Thomas S. Monson gave a talk in the last conference about finding joy in the journey. I know that his talk was meant for me. He quoted the musical The Music Man "You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you've collected a lot of empty yesterdays." This is exactly what I have been doing!! I am so concerned about the future that at the end of the week I find myself wondering where all my time went and how I didn't do anything for anyone and I didn't relish the time I had with my family. So this holiday season I am going about everything differently. I don't care if I don't get any christmas presents from my husband or family. I am just so grateful that I have the love of my life for all eternity and that we have a beautiful daughter who makes getting up every morning a joy! I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and remind you all to live in today so that when tomorrow comes you have lots of fun memories and not a lot of empty yesterdays full of regret.

Twilight Bonanza!!

Tommy and I have not been on a date in a long time. So on Saturday my mom babysat Addie Belle while we went to dinner and a movie with Pete and Kimi. It was so much fun! We ate at Fire House and we ate til we all almost exploded. Then we went to a movie I have been dying to see... TWILIGHT!

I am a total Twilight fan!! At first Tommy didn't want me to read the books because all of his friends' wives were totally obessed with the books so he was very clear on the fact that I couldn't read them. But he finally caved and I had to promise to not become a twilight freak (which I am not). Anyway, he promised to take me to the movie when it came out and he made fun of me so bad because I bought the tickets a week in advance. But if I bought the tickets later we would have been totally screwed! But the coolest thing about going to the movie was that he actually liked it!!! He said and I quote "That is one of the best movies I have ever seen!" So now he keeps asking about the whole series and so now I can probably get him to at least listen to the books on CD. So all you men out there who think your wife is stupid for reading and seeing twilight, you are wrong and you should suck it up and take your wife to the movie cuz you'll end up liking it!!

The picture by the way, is Addie calling grandma to come over to babysit her. The Bishopric counselor got up to announce that they were blessing their baby and he said that the Davis family would be blessing their infant son and his name is Ollie Kent Davis. Well, my niece's name is Ollie Kent Davis but she sure is not a boy! It was so sunny and I felt so bad for BJ and Kelli but I felt even worse for the bishopric counselor.

We have two cute nephews Davis and Nate that are brothers and they love Addie B so much! The other day Nate says to his mom:

"Mom who would you rather have, Lincoln, Addie, or Libby?"

Amy says back to him, "I don't know who would you rather have?"

and Nate replies "Addie of course!"

Isn't that the cutest! And yesterday he and Gabby spent the whole day playing with Addie. It is just so cute to see Addie building good relationships with her cousins!

So, we have the cutest 13 month old in the whole world!
