DISNEYLAND 2010

A couple of weeks ago, we had the opportunity to go to Disneyland with Tom's whole family. There were 25 of us total, well 26 if you include the babe in my belly. We had so much fun! We also got to fly there for free thanks to Tom's internship. So here are a few pics from the trip. Sorry there aren't more but we kept forgeting to take pictures, we were just too busy having fun!
This Addie posing at the entrance of Disneyland! She kept yelling for Mickey and Minnie everywhere we went. She was so excited to be there!

Surprisingly, Addie loved driving the cars in Autopia!

Waiting in line for the Tea Cups! Addie loved this ride!! She would yell and scream and giggle until she got dizzy. Then she would put her hands up and say "Stop! Stop! Stop!" It was so funny!

Most of the neices and nephews posing on Dumbo after the ride! We sure do have a lot of cuties in our family!

Addie met Mickey Mouse!! She would act scared whenever she met any character but after would keep yelling their names and looking for them.

I think meeting Minnie was better than meeting Mickey. Addie even blew her a kiss or two and gave her big hugs!
We had such a fun trip with Tom's family. All the kids were really cute to eachother, and good old Davis was such a sport. I think addie would have smothered him to death with all the loves she always had to give him.
After four days in Disneyland, we went to San Diego for a day to meet up with some old dear friends of ours! It was so much fun, and they have the cutest munchkins! We are sad because they are moving in Japan for three years and we will miss them dearly.
If Disney and San Diego wasn't enough, Tommy convinced me that we should go visit his uncle's sail boat and go sailing with him. Sailing wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite. I probably would have liked it better if I wasn't hugely pregnant and didn't have scared teary two year old clinging to me for dear life. But at least Tom had a blast. He actually got to sail most of the time, which convinced him that now he needs a sail boat one day!
By the end of the trip we were ready to go home, but not without one more little adventure. We were sure we could get on our flight home since there were 79 open seats and we were on stand by. Well, it turns out there were also 76 other people on stand by with us and we were the second to last passengers to get cleared right before take off. I'm just glad we made it! I would not have wanted to wait the long hours in the airport for the next flight!

Changes, Changes, Changes

I said I was going to be better at blogging and I totally have not followed through with that promise. But I have a few good excuses. We have had a lot of changes going on in our house. Probably one of the most excited is that Tom got an internship with SkyWest. So let me tell you how this all came to be. One day Tom comes home from flying with his instructor and says: "I hear SkyWest hasn't filled their intership for this semester, I think I'm going to apply." I say "Ok, sounds good to me." Then over then next week he received two phone calls where he was interviewed for two different internships. They told him they would let him know around New Years. So out of the blue on a Sunday, Tom gets this email saying he got an internship with them and he needs to go to training in a week. We were totally stoked, but yet confused because they didn't tell him what intership it was. So the next day he gets another email saying he needs to come interview for an internship that week.

So, to make a long story short, (notice I am skipping the part where I got really mad and cried for hours because I thought he got the internship that I didn't want him to get) Tom goes down to Salt Lake for this interview and they asked him if he applied for more than one internship with the company. He said yes and they said Oh never mind we don't need to interview you then because you already got the Flight Ops internship! How crazy is that! It happened to be the internship that we wanted him to get because it worked with our schedules better and he would get more experience in the flight area than adminstration. Anywho, we get flight benefits til May which is great, and we have many plans to travel til my pregoness won't let me anymore.

Tom has already had so much fun with this internship! Just last week he got to Montreal to pick up a RJ700! How cool is that!! I would dish all the details of his trip but that would take like a day and a half!
We had been saying we wanted to move Addie into a big girl bed before Christmas. Then one night a couple weeks before Christmas, Addie decided herself she was ready for a bed by using her crib as a jungle gym! She has transitioned really well and only got out a couple times the first night! She is actually a lot more willing to go to bed at night now that she is in her own bed.

Last but not least, has been my growing belly. I am now 27 1/2 weeks pregnant! Just so you all know, I will never post a picture of my huge fatness. I can't bear to have any pictorial evidence of how large and whalish I become during pregnancy. I honostly believe my mom when she told me that every pregnancy is different. Although I am having another girl, this pregnancy is so much different than Addie. I was so mellow and happy and comfortable when I was prego with Addie. This time around I am much more needy, whiny, and uncomfortable. I feel like my husband thinks I am the craziest, most hormonal pregnant lady on earth. But he sure treats great none the less. But I just can't wait til April when this cute girl will come home to us! I am super excited by the way, because next week we get to have an ultrasound and see our cute baby's face again! YAY!

Big News!

Well everybody, the wait is finally over! Today we had our big ultrasound! It already feels like I have been pregnant forever, and I am just barely half way done now. This baby has a totally different personality than Addie, that's for sure. The tech had a really hard time getting a good look at the face and finding out the sex. He had to keep poking and proding the baby to get it to move and then finally it did! I know the suspense is killing you all by now, so should I just tell you what it is already? Ok here goes...

IT"S A GIRL!!

We are so excited! We would have been happy with a boy too. I had so much anxiety built up because I just couldn't tell what it would be. When I was pregnant with Addie I knew the whole time she would be a girl, I just had the strongest feeling about it. But this time around I felt really confused. I am just glad I finally know! Plus the tech said that she looks great and has a;; her fingers and toes and is perfect. He estimates her wieght to be about 10 oz right now. Isn't that tiny?

We bought Addie a pink baby that came with a little crib. She didn't really care that we were telling her she would have a baby sister, she just cared that she got a new baby toy to play with! Addie is going to be such a good big sister! Now she can pass all her girly wisdom on to her baby sister! Now that hard part is waiting the long time to get this cute girl here! And at least we don't have to fight about names! We were lucky enough with Addie that we both liked her name and the same for our little Berlin that is on her way. Boys names are a whole other story!

Well, that's all for now folks! I'll post pictures later, the news was just to exciting to hold back!

Its Been A Long Time

So, its been a really long time since I have posted anything. We have had a few things going on during my absence from the blogging world. First off, Miss Addie turned 2! She had so much fun at both her parties. Yeah she spoiled because she got two parties. Sadly, I have no pictures to show of that since our camera died at her first party, and then I forgot to charge it before the second party. I still need to get all the pics from family members.

Second and the main reason I have not been blogging is because I am prego! We are so excited to welcome another baby into our home in April. But this baby has already been giving me a run for my money. I have been worshipping the porcelain god a lot the last couple months (if you know what I mean). But things have been a lot better the last couple weeks so I thought everyone should know I am still alive and we are all well.

Third, we celebrated halloween! I went all out this year by making mine and Tommy's costumes. We went as Tinkerbell, Hook, and Wendy. Addie loved dressing up as Tinkerbell, the only problem was she did not like wearing her wings. We took her trick or treating to my parents, my aunt, grandma and grandpa Swedberg, and then to Tommy's parents. She also got invited to her cousin's halloween party which she loved! We stopped by a truck or treat before the party and the whole time she kept saying: "Linky, Linky! A hand!" and then her cousin Lincoln would hold her hand. The bad part is that he was dressed as Buzz Light Year and there were a few other Buzzes so she would go up to them and try to hold their hand. We ended the night with The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, which has been a tradition ever since we got married. All in all it was a great night!

So I promise to be better about blogging now that I am feeling better!

"Winnie Dog Out!"

Every day, Addie runs to the door with Winnie's leash and yells: "Winnie dog out!" So I help her take the dog out and she always ends up letting go of the leash to go search for rocks and dirt. These pictures are from sunday when she had just woken up from a nap and I hadn't gotten her dressed yet. She wanted to let the dog out so bad but I told she had to wear her raincoat since it was raining and she didn't mind at all as long as winnie went out. She is so funny that little munchkin!

Anniversary, Birthday, and a Shiner

We've been a little busy lately, so that is why I haven't posted in forever. August is one of my favorite months because I get to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary right in row!

First came our annivesary on August 4th. We have been married for 5 years now!!! Can you believe it? What can I say about being married to my best friend for this long? I just love Tom so much! We have so much fun together, and we always have adventures whenenver we do something. He is such a good dad! Addie absolutely adores him and he adores her! I love to watch them together. He brings out the best in me and he makes me want to become a better person because he is so great! He teaches me something new every single day. He is the hardest working guy I have ever met. He has made so many sacrifices for our family and wants to set a good example for Addie and our future kids. The list goes on and on of all the things I could say about Tom. The most important one to me is that he loves me and I love him and we get to spend our lives together forever! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BABE!!!
This is the picture from our wedding announcement. Sorry it is so grainy. And I know what you are all thinking; WOW I actually used to be kind of thin! HA HA

The day after our anniversary was my birthday! I turned the big 25! Man I feel old now. We had so much fun on my birthday. We had gone up to Bear Lake for the week to celebrate and so on my birthday we played all day on the beach and then went to Bear Lake pizza for dinner. PS I will never eat there again because there was some bad chicken on my pizza and I felt sick all night long! But other than that is was a great day!

Addie got a shiner this past weekend. How sad is that? She was running all around her room and she ran into the computer chair. We didn't notice it until we were at the fair saturday night. I took this picture this morning of it. It looks a lot better than it did but I still feel so bad for her. She looks so sad in this picture too.

Baby Shower Gift

I went to a baby shower this week for one of the MANY prego girls at work. For the occasion I decided to make a onesie dress (mine is actually a onesie with a skirt) and burp clothes. I am really happy with how they turned out so here are the pictures.

I have been sewing a lot lately and it has gotten me thinking. I have been considering starting a sewing blog about my many adventures, especially since this blog is supposed to be about my cute family. I would probably also put some tutorials on there every now and then. I also plan on venturing into the world of sewing boy stuff too! So let me know your opinion of the idea, and be on the look out soon to see my new blog (If I am brave enough to start a new blog that is).
